Sydney when she first arrived with us!

Sydney
18 Month Old Female Rough Coat

Sydney is a great dog. She is an owner relinquish. They were moving and couldn't take her with them. (No reason given). She lived with a 4 year old child and was good with him and other children. Sydney also lived with an older female Great Pyrenees and was good with her and other dogs, as well as good with cats but likes to chase them to play with them.

She is only 1 1/2 years old, (DOB 6-10-01), housebroken, and not an escape artist. She was fine on a leash for me and it says on her profile leash and obedience trained. She is not destructive but buries her bones! She was/is micro chipped.

She is BIG (tall) but not super skinny. A little thin for my taste, :) but not a bag of bones. She has had all her shots and the vet report says she appears to be in good health. She is a rough coat with nice mask and coloring. She is very pretty and seems super docile. Not wild at all!! She lays down for the other dogs to sniff her and loves belly rubs, when she is not following me around!! All she needs is a good bath.

It says she was a 100% outside dog. What a shame.. she is a sweetie. So far she has not come in my house. I brought her around the
side gate and into the backyard to meet the other beasts first. They are all getting along GREAT! She has eaten a burger on the way home and peed and pooped in the yard already - she found the corner where the other dogs go! She was fine in the car and with my kids. She seems very docile- not a bark or whimper out of her yet! She looks like she will make someone a great addition to their family! I will keep you updated. I hope she comes in soon! (Katie wouldn't come in the house for a month. Now she won't go OUT!! :) )

Sydney with her new family

Sydney Update: 1/26/2003

Sydney has fit in really well and her and Bruiser have become close. She's starting to open up and isn't as nervous as she was the first few days. We'll keep in touch and let you know how she is. We're also making an appointment for a family picture and we'll email you a copy. Thanks for everything.

Don & Tanya

Sydney Update: 3/2003

Sydney is doing great. We're very surprised how fast she has taken to us and Bruiser. Bruiser recently had knee surgery for a torn ligament and has to be confined for 30 days. Sydney has been well behaved and really enjoys the limited time we let them spend together supervised. She is a great dog and we're happy we made the decision to adopt her.

Thanks,

Don
