Sadie in Foster Home

Sadie
Adopted August 31, 2001

2½ - 3 Year old Female Rough Coat.

Sadie was in a high kill shelter when we saved her.

She is very thin and we are working on putting some weight on her.
When she was altered at the shelter she weighed a mere 81 lbs.

She is a very sweet girl and just wants attention from everyone.

She has a calm and mild personality and looking for some love.
Can Sadie find the love and affection she deserves in your home?

8/30/01 UPDATE: Sadie was placed in a foster home on 8/29/01 until her forever home finds her. She has had a bath and romped and played with the other dogs. She absolutely adores children, she is very smart and has quite a personality. She will try to wiggle her way into your heart, and does not have much trouble succeeding with those that she meets.
A complete love bug!

8/31/01 UPDATE: Sadie was adopted today! She is going to her new home tomorrow, what a great way to start a new month! Her new life includes lots of children who adore her, and will give her the attention she deserves, she has plenty of energy for them and she charmed her way right into their hearts!

WE SAVED YET ANOTHER!

Update: 6/2002

Hi Janelle!
We are the Gundersons. We adopted our Saint in September of last year
from Alta Loma with Jackie. "Sadie" is an absolutely wonderful addition to
our family of eight! She walked into our house as if she'd always lived
here, and still feels we are "her" family. As I write this she is panting
contentedly by my side. Her favorite spot is by the side of anyone who will
sit still long enough to make it worth her while to get up and cross the room
to be with them. Last night she wanted to go out in the middle of the night
--- for some cooler air I suppose. I could hear the sprinklers going off
followed by the sound of her "pouncing" on one of the geysers of water! She
came in a little while later soaking wet, but very proud of herself. Such
are the happenings in the home of a Saint Bernard family.

We tell everyone who asks about her that she was a rescue dog from Adopt
A Saint. People cannot imagine that our robust 130 lbs. gentle pile of
tufted fur was ever a matted 81 lbs. of bones headed for euthanasia. What a
triumph for your organization!

It is because we are so in love with Sadie that we would love to offer our
story to any potential adoptive family. If we can ever encourage someone,
please let us know. Also, if we could ever transfer a Saint, I think we
could help as well. With six kids still living at home (between the ages of
6 and 20 years) I am sorry to say that we are probably not going to be
available for much else at this time.

I will tell you that my very reticent husband adores Sadie more than he
could ever have imagined. Once this Spring he videotaped her having a
"conversation" with him regarding unconditional love. He's a Pastor; she
made it into the Sunday message that week via videotape! Now she's a star,
as well as our Favorite Dog Of All Time!

Thank you for this chance to let you know how much we appreciate the
efforts of Adopt A Saint. We are so grateful to all of you for saving
Sadie's life, and for bringing her into our life.

Thank you all so very much,

Kimberly, for all The Gundersons
