Rocky
4 Year Old Male Rough Coat

What a sweet, sweet boy. Poor Rocky was left tied to the fence overnight at a local shelter because his owners didn't want to pay the fee to drop him off.

He weighed all of about 60 lbs and someone had dyed the hair on the back of his hind quarters purple.

He was being fostered by a family for the past year and has finally gained some
weight. Now Rocky has found his way to us and is getting the much needed
medical treatment he deserves.

He did wonderfully in the car on the way to the vet and talked to me from the back seat every so often.

We will have better pictures of Rocky after a bath. Are you his forever home?

12/2002: Rocky with his new family

Update Christmas 2002:

What a dog!!!!! How lucky we are to have found him. He is the most well behaved, sweet, lazy, lovable dog we have ever had the pleasure of meeting let alone having him as an addition to our family. He has adjusted well. The girls adore him, and he and our cat seems to be just fine, so far. We spend most of our time with him rubbing his tummy. He takes a walk everyday, and enjoys them. He likes to run around our trampoline a few times, but then he is pretty tuckered out and needs more love. He is so wonderful!!! We are waiting for a fault to come through, and are ready to accept one, but he does'nt seem to have any. We gave him a bone in his stocking for Christmas, and he did'nt know quite what to do with it. He would not chew it (hasn't chewed a thing) Then when we took him outside, we thought he would dig a hole and bury it, (and we decided that would be his fault, and we would be okay with that) he proceeded to place it in the corner and cover it with leaves by pushing the leaves over it with his nose. How cute is he? We all just love him so much. He is a pleasure to spend time with, and we think he feels the same. Thank you all for the experience. Rocky has found his forever home and his forever family.

Our thanks again,
The Kline Family

Update Christmas 1/2003:

Today marks the one month anniversary of Rocky joining our family. Everyday he seems to amaze us with his gentle nature and kind heart. He has really developed a connection with everyone in the family. Rocky has settled into his new home and now has become a permanent fixture on our couch (when invited) and in our hearts. We all look forward to our nightly walks and grooming time. We are excited to see him in the morning and he brings added joy when we return home after a long day at work or school. Rocky and our cat Cinder have become friends. He also enjoys playtime with his new cousin Eve (a 4 month old Golden Retriever) when she comes to visit. He has adapted so well that it seems he's been here forever, and we cannot imagine a day without his sloppy kisses. Thank you all again for saving Rocky and giving us the gift of a true saint.

Robert, Sri, McKenna, Sierra, Cinder, and most of all Rocky
