Bear Update: 12/12/2002

Hi Lacie,

I don't know if you have heard yet, but we have a sweet and loving Bear at our house.

We are so happy about our decision to adopt a Bear. Today is his third day here. We had him groomed yesterday. He is absolutely beautiful. He seems very much at home with us and Brandy, our American Eskimo.

Bear has met a few of our friends and family, as well as the groomers and every person has been surprised to learn that there is actually a Saint Bernard Rescue Group. Everyone thinks that there would be such a demand for the Saints that people would be looking for them.

Everyone has asked us where you are located and has indicated that they would spread the word about your organization. We have been complemented about having tried to locate a dog from a rescue group - it is a place that so many don't even know about. We got our dog, Brandy, the same way ~ and we feel so fortunate to have two such wonderful dogs.

I own a company located in Buena Park and I often work from my home office in Norco. As I write this, Bear is asleep on a blanket under my desk -- to the right of me - and Brandy is asleep on a blanket under my desk - to the left of me. We are all content.

Thank you so much for the time you devote to the dogs ~ and thank you for helping us to adopt Bear.

Fondly,
Ann

Bear Update: 12/12/2002

Hi,

Bear is fantastic.

He has been enjoying learning more and more about us, his new house, the nooks and crannies of his one acre property, and the horses and other livestock that are his neighbors. He is intelligent, well behaved, and loving.

I guess you can tell that we love him.

We have taken tons of pictures of him -- but we were very slow in having them developed. We just got them back. I'm afraid I don't know much about sending them through e-mail, so I will mail them to you the old fashioned way. What is the best address to use for you? Let me know and I'll send them right away.

I know we will enjoy seeing him online -- our adoption of him has definitely been a success! And, once again, I would like to thank you and the others who give so much of your time and concern to the Saints. Bear means the world to us and we hate to think of what might have happened to him if no one cared.

We have been aware of requests for help in transporting different dogs. Because of conflicts in our schedule, we have not been able to offer help so far, but we certainly are open to it -- we have a Jeep - and will volunteer if we are able to help.

So . . . send me your address and I'll get the pictures in the mail to you.

Ann
