Barkley
Renamed Jack
Adopted June 2001
3
Year old Male Rough Coat.
Jack
I'm told is quite a character. He wags his tail the entire time
he is eating, then tips over his bowl when done.
He
loves to go places and travels quite often with his new Dad, he
is fitting right in and feels right at home.
Barkley
is a wonderful sweet dog. He loves children and loves attention
Barkley weiged 90 pounds when we got him.
He
just wants to be your buddy. Barkley went through some tough times,
he is missing his right eye, but it does not seem to bother him
and it certainly does not bother us. In fact most people do not
even notice due to his dark mask - until after
quite a while or if told.
He
is absolutely beautiful. He was in a shelter and we saved him
on his last day. His owners were aware he was there and chose
not to come and get him. He was very matted and very thin when
we got him.
Despite
all of that, he is absolutely a wonderful dog! He adores children!
I have spent 2 days combing out his matted hair (just behind his
ears and have a long way to go) and although it must be uncomfortable
for him, he never
complains, instead he gives me kisses and gently places his paw
in my lap.
Barkley
needs to be spoiled like he deserves, he needs to be an inside
dog with his
people and never mistreated again.
He
is a TRUE Saint if I ever met one. If you are looking for a Saint
Bernard, I urge you to make an appointment to see Barkley, he
will steal your heart.
Barkley
will only be adopted to a very special home that will protect
him and make him feel absolutely special.
Barkley
is up to date on all shots, has been wormed and is neutered.
Below
are pictures of Barkley when he first came to us.
